This home was designed for a client "In the Know". A successful real estate broker with Keller Williams for decades, she has seen and sold it all. When deciding to build their own home it was first all about the property, and water was a must. Next was knowing who best to design their vision, having sold so many homes our firm designed that answered itself when we got a call out of the blue with the client saying "I've been following you", with a quick response "should I be concerned"? Upon clarifying the statement and a great laugh later it was obvious we would be working together, along with the incredible interior designer Jane Page Interiors. Visiting the property we knew we had a few challenges to fit everything the client wanted and still retain the "MUST HAVE", large outdoor entertaining and lakeside living spaces. Having designed many waterfront homes in the Bentwater Development where this is located as well as other developments on the lake we knew we had a few ways to recover and make use of the rear of the property all the while working within the strict development guidelines. Pushing the pool to the very rear edge of the property and utilizing a custom built up dock / deck space we could layer / zone the outside entertaining areas into sections and make use of space most people just don't visualize without "thinking outside the box". Knowing what engineering requirements we have to employ and creating specific designs to maintain the structural integrity for the retaining walls, pool as well as the home's foundation came from many similar challenging build jobs around the lake and understanding water tables and soil dynamics in the Texas gulf coast areas. The home's style was set from the outset, ITALIAN VILLA, and more specific Lake Como Italy. With pictures, and ideas we developed this home from the outside in, establishing how the garages need to enter given HOA restrictions, to the look of the front and back (lake) facades, and the process of entry and views from the inside out to the lake was key. The finish projects speaks for itself, selecting a team of professionals "In the Know" with the creativity and expertise to pull off this one of a kind Lakeside Italian Villa.
